Ocean City, NJ – The brilliant artworks of Ocean City School District’s talented students will be on display for the community to enjoy at the second annual Arts Showcase. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 10 at the Ocean City Music Pier, 825 Boardwalk.
Paintings, drawings, photography, graphic design, clay sculptures, printmaking and more created by students in grades Pre-K through 12 will be featured at the Arts Showcase, which is organized by Ocean City High School’s art and photography teacher, Adriana Palmer, the school’s Teacher of the Year. The OCSD holds this event to provide the community with an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the young virtuosos.
“We are pleased to welcome the community to the Arts Showcase and have them see the exceptionally creative works of our students district-wide,” said OCSD Superintendent Dr. Christian Angelillo. “Everyone who attends, especially those who value the arts, will be amazed by our students’ talents. Our district’s teachers and staff are dedicated to encouraging and supporting these young artists, and the students are excited and proud to share their work with others at the event.”
Besides the inspiring works, live performances highlighting students from across the district’s performing arts programs will occur from 3 to 5 p.m. A reception starts at 4 p.m. The event is free.
The event is sponsored by the Ocean City Free Public Library, the City of Ocean City, and local merchants.
