Yesterday, our staff and students proudly wore pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mrs. Ruffenach & Mrs. Pepe’s 5th grade classes, & Mrs. Duffey recently read “Winds of Hope” from their HMH Into Reading series, a nonfiction story about William Kamkwamba, who built a windmill to power his village in Malawi. Students learned about cause and effect and, created paper windmills to show the causes and effects from the story, and even tested them using wind power, just like William!

Today, OCPTA joined us during lunch to support Breast Cancer Awareness by offering $10 pink clip-in hair extensions! All proceeds benefit the Cancer Support Community NJ and their free programs.
