Today was National Bike & Roll to School Day! Students met at two locations this morning and then “Biked with a Cop” to OCIS. Escorted by OCPD officers, they made their way to school, while learning important safety tips along the way. This event helps promote safe biking practices and encourages students to use safe routes to and from school.

OCSD teachers spark inspiration and instill knowledge each day. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We are so grateful for all that you do!

Join us on Sunday, May 3rd, from 1:00–4:00 PM as we partner with the Ocean City Community Wellness Alliance for a special wellness day. The event will feature mental health discussions, yoga, live music, Reiki, health screenings, food demonstrations, and more.

The OCIS Brain Bowl team earned an impressive 3rd place finish at the annual Quiz Whiz competition held at Holy Spirit High School. Competing against a strong field of teams, our students showcased their knowledge across a wide range of topics, including computer science, politics, math, and pop culture. Their quick thinking, teamwork, and depth of knowledge were on full display throughout the event. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and outstanding achievement!

Bring Your Child to Work Day was a huge success! We were excited to welcome our staff’s children into our school community for a day of learning, exploration, and fun. This special day gave children a glimpse into our school environment and the important work our staff does each day.

Congratulations to our Distinguished Honors and Honors students on your outstanding achievements! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have truly paid off. Keep striving for success. We are so proud of you!

Get ready for a fun night of entertainment! Join us tomorrow for our Lip Sync Event on April 23 at 7:00 PM at OCIS. Come cheer on your friends and staff as they take the stage with their best performances. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Hope to see you there!

The Raider Nation Dance was held on Friday, April 17th for 8th grade students who will be attending Ocean City High School next fall. Students from Ocean City Intermediate School, Upper Township School District, Longport, Margate City, and choice students from surrounding districts had a great time meeting one another and building connections before the start of the school year.
Thank you to the PTA and PTO for organizing such a fun evening for our future Raiders!

The Ocean City Primary School is excited to announce an Open House on April 27th to showcase its state approved preschool program and invite families to learn more about its high-quality early childhood education program. The Ocean City Primary School will be hosting an open house to allow families to tour the classrooms, meet the teachers, and learn about the curriculum and activities offered.

Last week, our 4th Grade Wax Museum was on Friday, April 17th brought history to life at OCIS! Students researched influential historical figures and “walked in their shoes,” sharing what they learned with families and our school community in a fun and interactive way.
Thank you to our 4th grade teachers: Mrs. O'Neill, Mrs. Kirey, Mr. Lane, and Mrs. Kelly, for organizing this great event, and great job to our 4th grade students on their outstanding presentations!

Congratulations to 4th grade students Adriana Vogt and Sawyer McAllister, who each received Honorable Mention in the 2026 Cape May County “My County” Poster Contest! This year’s theme, “The Four Seasons of Cape May County,” invited students to showcase what they love most about our county throughout the year.

We are proud of Adriana and Sawyer for their creativity and for representing OCIS. Great work!

OCIS partnered with the Ocean City Police Department and the Cape May Cross County Connection TMA to educate and promote the importance of Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety.
