Ocean City Primary School is excited to participate in the OC PTA-Sponsored "Pink Hair Event" tomorrow, Friday, October 3rd!
For a small donation, students will have the opportunity to add a fun pink hair strand to their look during their lunch period — all for a great cause! All proceeds will go directly to benefit the Cancer Support Community New Jersey, helping support those affected by cancer in our local area.
Permission form: https://5il.co/3qm0k
Thank you for helping us make a difference, one strand at a time!

Students in Ms. Smith's class jumped right in with percussion instruments—like drums and rhythm sticks—to sharpen their note reading skills. Music literacy is a key part of becoming a well-rounded musician, and we had a great time reinforcing these important concepts through hands-on playing.
Way to go, third grade!

Our students dove into coding challenges with Indi robots, working together in small groups to solve problems and think like programmers.
Second and third graders got hands-on with a brand-new robot friend — Kibo! They learned to code using repeat loops and sensors, sparking creativity and curiosity with every command.
During library, students cozied up in our flexible seating areas to explore exciting new books — the perfect way to relax and read!

Together we shine! Shine on OCPS!

Thank you to the staff at Shore Medical Center, OCFD, and OCPD for all you do. We’re so proud of our students for spreading kindness beyond the classroom!

This past Friday marked the debut of the OCPS student-run coffee and snack cart!
Our students visited classrooms offering coffee and affordable snack items for teachers and staff to purchase.
Proceeds from the cart will directly support the OCPS Community Compassion Collection, which makes monthly donations to various local charities.
This initiative not only gives back to our community, but also provides our students with valuable real-world experience. We’re so proud of their hard work and heart!

Ocean City Primary School students will have their school pictures taken on Thursday, October 2. Make sure to dress your best and bring your smiles!

We can't wait to see you there!

Yesterday, Ocean City Primary School honored the memory of September 11th with a powerful message: kindness, compassion, and community matter, every single day! Our students took part in OCPS Day of Kindness, a school-wide initiative to show gratitude and support for the heroes in our community.
Pre-K and Kindergarten traced and decorated handprints, each one sharing a way they can help others.
Grades 1–3 created heartfelt thank-you cards for local community helpers:
- Grade 1: Hospital Staff
- Grade 2: Firefighters
- Grade 3: Police Officers
These small acts of kindness are our way of honoring those we lost, and celebrating the spirit of unity that brings us all together.
