Today, OCPTA joined us during lunch to support Breast Cancer Awareness by offering $10 pink clip-in hair extensions! All proceeds benefit the Cancer Support Community NJ and their free programs.

Next week, we will celebrate the Week of Respect! This is a special time to highlight the importance of kindness, acceptance, and positive choices and reminding students that bullying is not okay. See the schedule below.

We appreciate the top-notch OCSD custodial crew! They make our schools sparkle so our students can shine! 

For the month of October, students with excellent attendance (no more than one unverified absence) will be entered into a drawing to win a Wawa gift card! There will be one winner per grade level, announced at the beginning of November.

📝 Important: Verified absences (with a doctor’s note) will not count against this initiative.

Attendance plays a crucial role in student success. We look forward to celebrating excellent attendance with our students at OCIS!

As September comes to a close, we recognize the importance of Suicide Awareness Month at OCIS.

Throughout the month, students contributed to a beautiful butterfly display in our lobby—each one uniquely designed as a symbol of hope, growth, and awareness. The green butterflies represent mental health and suicide awareness, reinforcing the message that no one is ever alone. Thank you to our counselors, Mrs. Uhrich and Mrs. Conover, for organizing and reminding our students of the trusted adults in our school who are always here to help.
