The first two weeks of summer programs at OCIS are off to a fantastic start! Students and staff in our ESY, Jumpstart, and Summer STEM programs have been busy learning, exploring, and having fun as we kick off the summer season.

Congratulations to our OCIS 4th Marking Period Honor Roll students!

That’s a wrap on the 2024-2025 school year at OCIS! This week, we celebrated our students and all they’ve accomplished. On Thursday afternoon, our 8th graders were honored during the annual promotion ceremony as they prepared to take their next steps toward high school and beyond. Earlier that day, they were cheered on by younger students during our traditional clap out — a special sendoff marking the end of their time at the Intermediate School. From all of us at OCIS — have a relaxing, fun-filled summer. We look forward to welcoming students back in September!

REMINDER: The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will take place today, June 17 at 4 p.m. on the field at the corner of 18th and Bay Avenue. Please have students arrive by 3:30 p.m. and enter through the front of the school. Doors will open at 3:15 p.m. Please make sure students dress appropriately according to the dress code and outdoor setting. (Ex: sundresses, skirts, dress pants, nice shorts, polo shirts, button-down, collared shirts, and flat shoes.) Please do not bring artificial noisemakers, such as air horns to the ceremony.
