The summer students have been tending to the Mikenzie Helphenstine Helping Hands Garden, learning all about gardening and the science behind it. They've also been exploring new recipes using the fresh fruits and vegetables they've grown. It all started on Earth Day, when 3rd-grade students began preparing the garden. Now, about three months later, Mrs. Sharon Naplacic and Ms. Louise Nunan brought together families and community members for a wonderful day of teamwork and gardening. The garden has blossomed into something beautiful!

The first week of our summer program wrapped up today! It surely feels like summer now! Happy Fourth of July, everyone! 🇺🇸
Kindergarten students gathered to celebrate their Promotion Ceremony! The event featured a special guest speaker, senior James Burke, who has been a part of the OC Schools family since his own kindergarten days. James shared heartfelt stories and reflections from his years at OCSD, inspiring everyone with his journey. As we wish our young graduates the best of luck in first grade, we look forward to seeing all the amazing things they will accomplish!

A huge shoutout to everyone who helped make this unforgettable day such a success!

Third graders enjoyed an end of year celebration at Gillian’s Wonderland Pier, graciously donated by the Gillian family. Students had a blast getting to relax and unwind after a year of hard work in the classroom!

On Friday, May 31, we celebrated the retirement of two of our finest: Ms. Theresa Boylan & Mrs. Peggy Totten. Retirements are bittersweet—happy for them, but sad for us. Theresa and Peggy have been integral to our Ocean City Primary School family, impacting everyone, including our 305 students. Wishing them the best in their next chapter!
