DAY ONE LETTER

Dear Ocean City School Community,

As we prepare to welcome our students back for the 2025–26 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect, celebrate, and look forward together. It’s the most anticipated time of the year for our schools. We will welcome students back with pride in what we have accomplished together and excitement for what is ahead.

This year, our theme is “Your Day One” a reminder that every new beginning is an opportunity to shape our path forward. Whether it’s a student stepping into their very first classroom, a teacher returning with fresh ideas, or a parent dropping off their child with hope and excitement, each of us has a “Day One” that matters. This will be my second “Day One” as your superintendent, and I could not be more grateful for the progress we’ve made together. Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of seeing the dedication of our staff, the passion of our students, and the unwavering support of our families and community members. Together, we've built stronger bridges between our schools and the communities they serve and this year, we’ll continue to strengthen those connections.

By now, all parents should have received important information regarding the opening day of school for their students. This includes details about school start times, transportation, classroom assignments, and any required forms or materials. If you have not yet received this information, please contact your child's school directly or reach out to the district office as soon as possible. We look forward to welcoming all students back and beginning a successful school year together.

Our staff have been hard at work all summer, preparing safe, welcoming, and inspiring environments for your children. From updating classrooms to designing innovative learning experiences, their efforts reflect a deep commitment to student success and well-being.

As we open our doors for the 2025–26 school year, I encourage every member of our school community, students, educators, families, and partners, to embrace this moment as a fresh start. Let this be your Day One to ask bold questions, try something new, offer kindness, and lead with purpose.

We are excited, ready, and honored to welcome our students back. Let’s make this year one of meaningful growth, lasting relationships, and shared achievement.

Here’s to an incredible year ahead and to your Day One.

With Red Raider Pride,

Dr. Angelillo
