The Ocean City Board of Education recently recognized outstanding students and staff for the month of October, from the district's youngest learners to high school seniors and those teachers and staff making a difference in our schools.
Anchored in Excellence Awards
The Anchored in Excellence Awards, a new recognition program launched last month by Superintendent Brian Latwis, honors teachers and staff in several categories including: Being a Leader in Student Engagement, Building Relationships to Foster Learning, Leading Our Staff to Inspire Change, Promoting and Supporting the Well-Rounded Student, Promoting Successful Student Athletes, Supporting Special Needs, and Excellence, Ownership and Pride.
Recipients are presented with a challenge coin, a military tradition which is rooted in instilling pride, improving spirit, and rewarding hard work and excellence.
